Sights in San Lucas (3)

A view from the hills on the Eastern side of San Lucas, looking down on the town and the lakeshore

The hill in the center, distance, is "Cerro de Oro" - literally "Hill of Gold".

The legend has it that the Mayan Katchiquel people, before the coming battle with the Spaniards, buried their gold and treasure there. Many have sought it, but in vain!  You could find more rewarding things to do, if you come to San Lucas
