The Fiesta is the most important time of the year for people in any town. In San Lucas, the preparations begin for the Fiesta early in October ... on the 6th or 7th the fairpeople start assembling the ferris wheels and roundabouts.

  The Fair is officially opened with a big parade, in which the schools put on bands, gymnasts ... and even stilt walkers.
  Rain didn't stop them !

   The fair comes into its own as twilight falls ...

The whole center of town is closed, and as well as the ferris wheels and roundabouts - some hand operated, others driven by machines - there is a wealth of video game, roll a penny, lucky straw stalls, etc. Pizza tents compete with more traditional fare
