All schools celebrate their 'anniversary' One of the first activities in the week of celebrations is to bring back a 'symbolic flame'.

    Students visit one of the cities, as an educational visit. On the way back the run part of the way with the flame, olympic torch style.

    Usually there are sporting events during the week...

    A couple of weeks before the anniversary, the 'school princess' is elected. Each classroom presents their candidate. Candidates have to perform typical dances, and give a little speech as to why they want to be the anniversary Princess.
